At LLG Counseling, we know that parents are doing the best they can to support the well-being and growth of their families. In the world we live in today, supporting our children can feel like a daunting task. At LLG counseling, we understand and we’re here to support you.
In-home Therapy is a short-term, solution-focused approach. Our first priority is to stabilize youth and reduce distressing symptoms, such as self-harm, suicidal ideation, panic attacks, anxiety, and anger issues, that put your child at risk. Our clinicians work collaboratively with youth to improve and maintain functioning through building a strong relationship, practicing essential skills, and building effective communication. As we address symptoms and/or problematic behaviors, we often invite family members into therapy to gain insight, build awareness, and develop new relational patterns that support both youth and caregiver.
Our clinical approach to In-Home Therapy integrates interventions from several evidence-based modalities to guide youth and families towards resilience, empowerment, growth, and connection. Based on 10+ years working in the mental health field, we’ve found that an eclectic approach offers the most personalized, yet focused treatment plans. At LLG, our approach is always culturally-conscious and community oriented.
Lastly, we know that progress is important to you and your family. During the intake session, our clinicians will help you to identify main areas of concerns and create goals that are specific, achievable, and measurable. We’ll work tirelessly to support your child and hope you understand that your consistency and engagement are essential for positive treatment outcomes.

Supporting your child/teen as they navigate their mental health can feel confusing, exhausting, and frustrating. We offer Parent Coaching to provide parents and caregivers with the opportunity to learn about mental health and explore how to support their children and teenagers. We know that you’re doing the best you can with the tools you have. We aren’t here to criticize. Instead, we’re here to grow your toolkit.
Your clinician will create a personalized curriculum that is designed to target and improve challenging behaviors in children and adolescents using a strength-based approach. We’ll provide education on mental health diagnoses and answer any and all clinical questions you might have.
It’s important to note that, similar to therapy, Parent Coaching involves an investment of time and energy. Over the course of coaching, your beliefs, feelings, and behaviors may be gently challenged. Your clinician will provide feedback (as any good coach would) and help you build a long-lasting, strong, and supportive relationship with your child. If you participate in and complete our Parent Coach service, you will be eligible to enroll in our free Parent Group therapy for ongoing support.
