Our clinical approach integrates interventions from several evidence-based modalities to guide youth and families towards resilience, empowerment, growth, and connection. Based on 10+ years working in the mental health field, we’ve found that an eclectic approach offers the most personalized, yet focused treatment plans. At LLG, our approach is always culturally-conscious and community oriented.
Modalites that guide treatment include:
Mari Delgado is the founder of Learn, Love and Grow Counseling. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over ten years in the field, Mari is passionate about empowering the community, uplifting families, and instilling hope.
Mari began her career providing treatment and prevention services to abused/neglected children and their families at Family Resource Center at Catholic Charities. Following this role, Mari acted as Program Coordinator for PowerBack, a school-based dating abuse program, at A Partnership for Change. In 2013, Mari became an Intensive In-Community (IIC) provider at ASun Star where she found fulfillment and passion working with New Jersey’s families.
As a professional, Mari strives to provide her clients with the highest quality of care. Compassion, integrity, and inclusivity are the bedrock of her work with clients. As an immigrant, Mari understands the many challenges (language barriers, stigma, cultural taboos) of seeking and accessing mental health care. She is passionate about breaking down barriers and de-stigmatizing mental health support, especially for individuals from underserved populations.

Our team provides high-quality, equitable clinical services that acknowledge and honor the many facets of identity including, but not limited to: Race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic class, age, or ability status. We subscribe to Intersectionality, or the idea that intersecting diverse identities create overlapping systems of discrimination and disadvantage.
